Business and Human Resources

Donna Slagle - Business & Human Resource Administrator

 

The Business and Human Resources division is comprised of departments that provide a wide spectrum of support functions for District 7.  These services include hiring, promotions, employee benefits, training, safety, budgetary reports, mail services, building maintenance and repair.  Our goal is to provide quality, professional assistance to our customers.
 

 Finance

 
Finance’s primary responsibilities are recording and monitoring the budgetary actions of District 7.  Payroll, leave balances (sick, vacation, medical), contract compliance oversight, vendor relations, accident claims and all other aspects of the District’s financial accountabilities are performed in this department.
 

 Information Technology

 
I.T.’s mission is to provide, maintain, and support network, telecommunications, computing, and information resources for District 7.  This department searches for solutions that improve the quality of work produced by employees.
 

 Personnel

 
The Office of Personnel is responsible for the hiring process, coordination of employee benefits and training. Recruitment, employee position descriptions, personnel actions, evaluations, disability leave benefits, childbirth/adoption leave, FMLA, Engineer-in-Training Program, seasonal help program, and mail services are also under the purview of Personnel.
 

 Facilities

 
The Facilities department handles a diverse set of tasks for District 7.  The employees of this department are responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all buildings in our nine county area.  This variety of work ranges from HVAC repairs to remodeling our buildings. 
 

 Safety

 
Safety’s mission is to establish a safe and healthy workplace by providing positive guidance and direction to employees.   Our goal is to reduce the possibility of injuries and accidents among employees.
