I-70 Lane Addition - Between Enon Road and US 68

This widening project will create three continuous lanes on I-70 westbound and eastbound between Enon Road and US 68 in Clark County. This stretch of I-70 is one of the few areas between Dayton and Columbus that is still only two lanes in each direction. The project will not only provide motorists with added interstate capacity, but will increase safety by installing cable barriers in the median to prevent cross over crashes. The project also allows for higher traffic volumes in the future.  By utilizing the TRAC process, ODOT is able to complete this much needed project earlier than expected.

 Project Description

  • Add a third lane on I-70 in each direction between Enon Road and US 68
  • Improve pavement conditions
  • Upgrade the drainage system through the project
  • Install a noise wall along a portion of the westbound lanes
  • Rebuild the ramps at Enon Rd. using concrete pavement
  • Installation of cable barriers in the median
