Business and Human Resources

Donna Slagle - Business & Human Resource Administrator

The Business and Human Resources division is comprised of several departments that provide a wide spectrum of support functions for the District. Some of these services include: hiring, promotions, employee benefits, training, safety, payroll, budgetary reports, mail services, building maintenance and repair. Our goal is to provide quality, professional assistance to all of our internal and external customers in a timely manner.

 

 Finance

 
finance's primary responsibilities are recording and tracking the budgetary actions of district seven. they handle payroll, time sheets, and various types of leave - i.e. sick leave, medical leave, etc. additionally, they perform auditing functions and oversee contract compliance, vendor relations, and many other aspects of ODOT's financial health.
 

 Information Technology

 
our mission is to provide, maintain, and support network, telecommunications, computing and information resources for district seven and to look for i.t. solutions that improve the quality of work produced by our customers.
 

 Personnel

 
The District seven office of personnel provides quality service through the selective hiring process and coordination of all personnel activities throughout the district, including coordination of employee training and development. responsibilities include employee benefits, employment opportunities, recruitment, position descriptions, personnel actions, interview/selection process, ohio performance review system (evaluations), disability leave benefits, childbirth/adoption leave, family and medical leave act, engineer-in-Training program, college intern program, and the transportation seasonal help program.
 

 Facilities

 
The facilities department handles a diverse set of tasks for district seven. the employees of this department are responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all the buildings within district seven. this variety can be found from mowing the district lawns, roof repairs, monitoring the replacement of gasoline tanks to remodeling our buildings. by utilizing a work order program, the facilities office schedules and prioritizes their daily work assignments and makes the best use of their personnel.
 

 Mail Room

 
this area provides services that include sending and receiving all u.s. mail for the entire district along with shipping packages out nationwide. in addition, this department is responsible for ordering and maintaining the district's general office supply inventory.
 

 Safety

 
our mission is to establish a safe and healthy workplace and reduce the possibility of injuries and accidents among ohio Department of Transportation employees. We will provide positive guidance and direction for all of our customers with regard to safety and health matters.
