One of 12 transportation districts in the State of Ohio, The Ohio Department of Transportation District 7 serves the West-central Ohio counties of Auglaize, Champaign, Clark, Darke, Logan, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery and Shelby.
The district is headquartered in Sidney, Ohio, Shelby County. Operating out of headquarters are the departments of the Deputy Director, Business and Human Services, Production, Highway Management, Planning and Programs.
The district is charged with maintaining approximately 4,635 lane miles of state and federal highway, maintaining over 1,409 bridge structures and for planning new construction which enhances, improves or expands the transportation system within its nine-county area.
Each of the nine counties within the district conducts highway maintenance activities from garage facilities located in the cities of Wapakoneta, Urbana, Springfield, Greenville, Bellefontaine, Celina, Troy, Clayton and Sidney.
