I-70 Lane Addition in Clark County

 

 Overview

 
This project will create a third travel lane on I-70 from SR 72 to US 40 in Clark County. It will also improve the pavement condition and widen the shoulder along this stretch of interstate. The project also includes the installation of a cable barrier in the median of I-70 for increased safety.
 

 Construction Information

 
  • Construction in this area started in early July 2010
  • Two lanes of traffic will remain open to motorists in each direction during construction
  • Project will not affect existing interchange ramps or other corridors
  • Project is scheduled for completion if fall 2011

 

Arrow boards and signs will be in place prior to the work zone to alert motorists of the upcoming lane closures. Law enforecment will be on site to monitor traffic flow.
