Montgomery County (Monday, May 19, 2014) – Various 24 hour road closures will be in effect beginning Monday, May 19th at 1 am. The following roads will be closed:
· Second Street will be closed between Edwin C. Moses Boulevard and Red Cross Lane.
· Salem Avenue will be closed between Edwin C. Moses Boulevard and Robert Drive.
· Robert Drive will be closed between Monument Avenue and Third Street.
· Vista View Drive will be closed between Second and Third Streets.
These will be 24 hour road closures. The affected roads are scheduled to reopen in September of 2017. Access to the Montgomery County Delivery Bays will be maintained during this time.
These lane closures are due to a contractor reconstructing Second Street in this area as part of the I-75 Modernization Project through downtown Dayton.
Arrow boards and signs will be in place prior to the work zone to alert motorists of the upcoming closure. All work is weather permitting.
