Between Reynolds Street and Oaks Street
Champaign County (Monday, August 13, 2012) – Lane closures will be in effect on US 68 between Reynolds Street and Oaks Street starting Monday, August 13th at 7 am. These lane closures will take place daily between 7 am and 4 pm. One lane of traffic will remain open to motorists in each direction at all times through the use of flaggers. The affected lanes are scheduled to reopen to motorists Friday, August 31st at 4 pm.
These lane closures are due to a contractor resurfacing the road.
Arrow boards and signs will be in place prior to the work zone to alert motorists of the upcoming closure. Law enforcement will be on hand to monitor traffic flow. All work is weather permitting.
Safety is a top priority at ODOT. To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
