Lane Closures on SR 47 in Both Directions
Between village of Versailles and Darke/Shelby County Line
Darke County (Monday, August 6, 2012) – Lane closures will be in effect on SR 47 in both directions starting Monday, August 6th at 7 am between the village of Versailles and the Darke/Shelby County line. These lane closures will take place daily during daylight hours. The affected lanes are scheduled to reopen to motorists Thursday, September 30th. One lane of traffic will remain open at all times by use of a flagger. The entire project is scheduled to be complete in October of 2012.
These lane closures are due to a contractor resurfacing the roadway and replacing curb ramps.
Arrow boards and signs will be in place prior to the work zone to alert motorists of the upcoming closure. Law enforcement will be on hand to monitor traffic flow. All work is weather permitting.
Safety is a top priority at ODOT. To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
