Road Closure on SR 49
Between West Street and Wayne Street
Darke County (Monday, August 13, 2012) – SR 49 will be closed in both directions between West Street and Wayne Street starting Monday, August 13th.  This is a 24 hour a day closure. The affected section of SR 49 is scheduled to reopen to motorists Tuesday, August 14th.
This road closure is due to a contractor performing railroad repairs.
The official detour during construction is: SR 118 to SR 47
Arrow boards and signs will be in place prior to the work zone to alert motorists of the upcoming closure. All work is weather permitting.
Safety is a top priority at ODOT.  To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
