Nightly Lane Closures on I-75 in Both Directions Rescheduled
Between Dryden Road and Stanley Avenue
Montgomery County (Monday, February 25, 2013) – Nightly lane closures on I-75 northbound and southbound between Dryden Road and Stanley Avenue originally scheduled to begin Monday, February 18th at 7 pm have been rescheduled due to high winds. These lane closures will now begin Monday, February 25th at 7 pm. One lane of traffic will be closed in each direction between 7 pm and 6 am. Two lanes of traffic will be closed in each direction between 10 pm and 5 am. The affected section of I-75 is scheduled to reopen to motorists Saturday, March 2nd at 6 am. Two lanes of traffic will remain open to motorists in each direction at all times.
This lane closure is due to a contractor installing overhead signs as part of the I-75 Modernization Project.
Arrow boards and signs will be in place prior to the work zone to alert motorists of the upcoming closure. Law enforcement will be on hand to monitor traffic flow. All work is weather permitting.
Safety is a top priority at ODOT. To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
