Nightly Lane Closures on US 35 Southbound Rescheduled
Between James H. McGee Boulevard and I-75
Montgomery County (Monday, February 25, 2013) – Nightly lane closures on US 35 eastbound between James H. McGee Boulevard and I-75 originally scheduled to begin Monday, February 18th at 7 pm have been rescheduled due to high winds. These closures will now begin Monday, February 25th at 7 pm.  These closures will take place nightly between the hours of 7 pm and 6 am.  The affected section of US 35 is scheduled to reopen to motorists Saturday, March 2nd at 6 am.  Two lanes of traffic will remain open to eastbound motorists at all times.
This lane closure is due to a contractor installing overhead signs as part of the I-75 Modernization Project.
Arrow boards and signs will be in place prior to the work zone to alert motorists of the upcoming closure.  Law enforcement will be on hand to monitor traffic flow.  All work is weather permitting.
Safety is a top priority at ODOT.  To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
