ODOT Seeking Public Comments
SIDNEY (Friday, December 21,
2018) - The
Ohio Department of Transportation District 7 is seeking public comments
regarding the following projects:
Upgrade, PID 108617 - The
City of Springfield proposes to upgrade the traffic signal system at Main
Street and Western Avenue, to address conditions contributing to crashes and
improve pedestrian access.
Reconstruction Phase 1, PID 103178 –
The City of Dayton proposes to reconstruct Salem Avenue, from North Avenue to
Manhattan Avenue. The project is
necessary to address the deteriorated and substandard condition of the
corridor, including failed or failing pavement, subgrade, and storm
facilities. The project will also
address deteriorated and substandard pedestrian facilities, obsolete traffic

may wish to comment on include, but are not limited to, the effect of the
project on local residents, air quality, the local economy, and historic or
cultural resources. Comments should be submitted by Friday,
January 25, 2019.

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions
required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being,
or have been, carried out by ODOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum
of Understanding dated December 11, 2015, and executed by FHWA and ODOT.
