To celebrate Arlington Road
bridge project over I-70
– The Ohio Department of
Transportation (ODOT) and the City of Brookville held a completion ceremony
Thursday, October 25th to commemorate the opening of the Arlington
Road bridge over Interstate 70.
$5.4 million dollar project replaced the bridge and widened the structure to
allow for a turn lane and a sidewalk. It also increased the vertical
clearance for motorists traveling on I-70 and added aesthetic treatments and
street lights along the new bridge.
bridge was designed by Woolpert and constructed by Brumbaugh Construction. The
project took eight months to complete, with the bridge itself being closed
for less than six months. MKSK was the
aesthetic consultant on the project.
The City of Brookville says the new bridge acts as a welcome sign for
