Public Meeting Scheduled
To discuss reconstruction of North Dixie Drive
Sidney (Tuesday, January 31, 2011) – The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 7 would like to announce a public meeting held by the Montgomery County Engineer to share information with the public concerning a future project.
The Montgomery County Engineer’s Office is proposing to reconstruct and widen North Dixie Drive to five lanes from Needmore Road to just north of Jewelstone Drive. The northern most section of the proposed widening project would adjoin the widening project proposed by the City of Vandalia, which is scheduled for construction in 2012.
The public is invited to an informal open house meeting on Thursday, February 9, 2012, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., at the Harrison Township Community Center, 5945 North Dixie Drive, Dayton, Ohio 45414. Attendees will have the opportunity to view displays of the planned improvements, see exhibits showing potential effects of the proposed construction on surrounding properties, and provide verbal and written comments. No formal presentations will be given.
