Interstate 71 paving project update
Hamilton County (Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2016) – As part of the Interstate 71 paving project north of the Lytle Tunnel, the following additional restrictions will be in place tonight (red):
Access from East Liberty Street to southbound I-471 will be closed from midnight Wednesday, Sept. 14 until 5 a.m. Thursday, Sept 15. In addition, the left lane of southbound I-71 will be closed from Reading/Gilbert to just north of the tunnel from 10 p.m. Wednesday until 5 a.m. Thursday.
Lane closures will also be in effect each night from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following day on Monday, Sept. 19, Tuesday, Sept. 20 and Wednesday, Sept. 21.
Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming lane closures. Please remember that all work is dependent upon weather.
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
