Closure
Notice for State Route 28
Clinton
County (Wednesday,
July 9, 2014) – Culvert work will require closing State Route 28 between
Tar Pike Road (CR 62) and U.S. 68, and local traffic will be maintained.
SR 28
will be closed from 7 a.m. Monday, July 14 until 3 p.m. Friday, July 18.
The
detour for eastbound SR 28 traffic will be left of Tar Pike Road (CR 62) to
right on Second Creek (CR 19) to right on U.S. 68, back to SR 28. Westbound traffic will use the same detour in
reverse. The detour is an additional five miles or approximately 10 minutes.
Arrow
boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming closure
and detour. To help
ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public,
motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic
while passing through the work zone.
