Closure
Notice for State Route 503
Preble
County
(Monday, July 21, 2014) – Culvert installation will require closing
State Route 503 between Interstate 70 and U.S. 35, and local traffic will be
maintained. The culvert is located approximately 0.3 mile south of
Eaton-Lewisburg Road.
SR
503 will be closed from 7:30 a.m. Monday, July 28 until 3 p.m. Friday, August
1.
The
detour for northbound SR 503 traffic will be west on U.S. 35 to north on U.S.
127 to east on I-70, back to SR 503. Southbound traffic will use the same
detour in reverse. The detour is an additional 10 miles or approximately 15
minutes.
Arrow
boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming closure
and detour.
To
help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling
public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped
traffic while passing through the work zone.
