Closure
Notice for State Route 748
Butler
County (Monday,
Aug. 4, 2014) – Pavement work will require closing State Route 748 north of
Layhigh Road, between State Route 126 and SR 129, and local traffic will be
maintained.
SR 748
will be closed from 7:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 11 until 3:00 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15.
The
detour for northbound SR 748 traffic will be east on SR 126 to north on SR 128
to north on U.S. 27 to west on SR 129, back to SR 748. Southbound SR 748
traffic will use the same detour in reverse. The detour is an additional four
miles or approximately seven minutes.
Arrow
boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming closure
and detour.
To help
ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public,
motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic
while passing through the work zone.
