Closure
Notice for State Route 748
Butler
County (Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2014) – Culvert work will
require closing State Route 748 just south of Bell Road, between SR 126 and SR
129. Local traffic will be maintained.
SR
748 will be closed from 7:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 27 until 3:00 p.m. Friday, Oct.
31.
The
detour for northbound SR 748 traffic will be west on SR 126 to east on SR 129,
back to SR 748. Southbound SR 748 traffic will use the same detour in reverse. The
detour is an additional eleven miles or approximately fifteen minutes.
Arrow
boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming road closure
and detour.
To
help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling
public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped
traffic while passing through the work zone.
