Compton Road lane closures scheduled

Compton Road lane closures scheduled

Hamilton County (Wednesday, April 13, 2016) –  A Safe Routes to School project starts tomorrow to add a sidewalk along Compton Road, curb ramps to intersection crosswalks, new signing and pavement markings in the city of Wyoming.

Lane closures will be on Compton Road between Poage Farm Road and Hilltop Lane weekdays between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. One lane of traffic will be maintained with flaggers and traffic will be open in both directions at the end of the work day.

The $226,000 project was awarded to Prus Construction Company and is scheduled to be complete by the end of June.

Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming lane closures. To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
