Construction update week of Aug. 4
LEBANON (Tuesday,
Aug. 5, 2014) – A look at various construction
projects this week in District 8:
HAMILTON
COUNTY:
I-75
at Hopple
Closure of left lane
on northbound I-75 beginning at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, reopening to traffic by
6 a.m. the following day. Closure may extend to Wednesday, Aug. 6 if additional
time is needed.
Closure of left lane on southbound
I-75, beginning at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6, reopening to traffic by 6 a.m. the
following day. Closure may extend to Thursday, Aug. 7 if additional time is
needed.
Closure of Central Parkway Tuesday, Aug. 5 through
Friday, Aug. 8, beginning at 10 p.m., and reopening by 5 a.m. the following
day.
Lane closures on southbound Central Parkway between
9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5
Lane closures on northbound Central Parkway between
9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6
Various side street flagging operations for
material deliveries between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily.
Flagging operation on Marshall Avenue for bridge
construction between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily
I-275
Pavement work will require a six-day, 24-hour
lane closure on eastbound Interstate 275, beginning at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Aug.
6.
The right lane of eastbound Interstate 275 from
I-74 to SR 126 will be closed until 7 a.m. Monday, Aug. 11. Access to the exit
ramps will be maintained.
East Miami River Road at US 27
Work to construct a combined entrance/exit ramp
and connection ramp on the west side of U.S. Route 27 to East Miami River Road
requires closing East Miami River Road.
Beginning Monday, Aug. 11, East Miami River Road
will be closed for 90 days. The detour for eastbound traffic is to cross the
Great Miami River on Old Colerain Avenue/Cincinnati-Brookville Road to east on Hamilton-Cleves
Road to south on U.S. 27, back to East Miami River Road.
Westbound traffic will be detoured north on U.S. 27
to west on Hamilton-Cleves Road and turn left onto Cincinnati-Brookville
Road/Old Colerain Avenue, crossing the Great Miami River back to East Miami
River Road.
Clough Pike in Anderson Twp.
Pavement work will require various lane
closures on Clough Pike in Anderson Twp. this week.
Lane closures will be in place between Newtown
Road to east of Berkshire Road from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 7 and
Friday, Aug. 8 and on Tuesday, Aug. 12 and Wednesday, Aug. 13. Traffic delays
may be significant.
WARREN COUNTY
I-75 at SR 73
In order to place portable concrete barrier on
the right shoulder, a lane closure will be in place on Interstate 75 tonight.
From 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5 until 6 a.m.
Wednesday, Aug. 6, the right lane of northbound Interstate 75 at State Route 73
will be closed.
BUTLER COUNTY
U.S. 27
Roadway work which will require daily flagging
operations on U.S. 27, south of Chestnut Street within the City of Oxford, is
going to intensify beginning Monday, Aug. 4.
Motorists should expect daily flagging
operations to impact traffic from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Traffic will be maintained
at all times, but motorists may experience delays. Flagging operations will continue to occur, perhaps on a
daily basis, for the next several months.
SR 748
Pavement work will require closing State Route
748 north of Layhigh Road, between State Route 126 and SR 129.
SR 748 will be closed from 7:30 a.m. Monday,
Aug. 11 until 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15. Local access will be maintained.
The detour for northbound SR 748 traffic will be
east on SR 126 to north on SR 128 to north on U.S. 27 to west on SR 129, back to SR 748. Southbound SR 748 traffic
will use the same detour in reverse. The detour is an additional four miles or
approximately seven minutes.
GREENE COUNTY
I-675
Guardrail repair will require closing the ramp
from Dayton-Yellow Springs Road to northbound Interstate 675 on Wednesday, Aug.
6.
The ramp will be closed from 9 a.m. to noon with
traffic detoured from Dayton-Yellow Springs to southbound I-675 to North
Fairfield Road to northbound I-675.
CLERMONT COUNTY
I-275 at SR 32
Work to accommodate construction of the new ramp from
Eastgate Blvd. to eastbound SR 32 will require a traffic switch Thursday, Aug. 7Beginning
at 8 p.m., traffic on SR 32 between I-275 and Glen Este Withamsville Road will
be switched to the north side of the road, closer to the newly constructed
barrier wall. Lane closures will be in effect from 8 p.m. to
midnight. Also
during this time, access to Eastgate Square Drive from SR 32 will be closed
permanently.
