New exit numbers installed on State Route 126

New exit numbers installed on State Route 126

Hamilton County (Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2016) – As part of a planned systematic sign replacement project in Southwest Ohio, exit numbers have been added on SR 126/Ronald Reagan Highway. This is necessary to comply with the latest design standards requiring exit numbers on freeways.

The exit numbers are based on the state mileage of the route, so the interchanges on SR 126 from U.S. 27 to U.S. 22 are now numbered from 20 to 32. Similarly, the new mile marker numbers are based on the state mileage and have been changed because the previous signs were based on just inside Hamilton County.

ODOT is reaching out to governmental jurisdictions in the area to inform them of the changes.

To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
