I-275 ramp to Winton to close next week

I-275 Ramp Closure at Winton Begins Next Week

Hamilton County (Friday, March 9, 2012) – As work proceeds to widen Winton/Gilmore Road at Interstate 275, the ramp from westbound I-275 to southbound Winton Road will be closed to traffic, beginning at 6 a.m. Wednesday, March 14.

Work to implement the closure will begin at 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 13. Traffic will be maintained one lane in each direction on Winton/Gilmore and law enforcement officials will assist with traffic control. Traffic delays may be lengthy while work is in progress.

This ramp closure will be in place to mid-September with traffic detoured to the I-275 westbound ramp to northbound Gilmore to access southbound Winton. In addition, one lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained on Winton Road through the duration of work.

Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place prior to the work zone to alert motorists of the upcoming road closure. To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
