Contraflow
configuration scheduled for I-275/SR 32

County (Friday,
June 27, 2014) –
As part of the improvements to the I-275 and SR 32 interchange,
crews will work to implement a “contraflow” configuration for Interstate 275
traffic Monday, June 30.
Northbound
traffic will be rerouted onto the southbound side of I-275. With this new
configuration, the eastbound SR 32 ramp to northbound I-275 will be closed and
eastbound SR 32 traffic will access northbound I-275 by turning left at the
traffic signal.
To
implement this new traffic configuration, lane closures for north and
southbound I-275 may be in place from 10 p.m. Monday, June 30 until 5 a.m.
Tuesday, July 1. Traffic delays may be significant while work is taking place.
Arrow
boards and/or signs will be in place prior to the work zone to alert motorists
of the upcoming lane closures.
To
help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling
public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped
traffic while passing through the work zone.
