I-675 resurfacing work in Greene County underway

Greene County’s I-675 resurfacing work underway
Greene County (Friday, April 11, 2014) – A two-year project to resurface 5.5 miles of Interstate 675 in Greene County is underway.
Work will include resurfacing I-675 between the North Fairfield Road and State Route 235 exits as well as performing overlay work on seven bridge decks on mainline I-675. Work will also include replacing the bridge deck and adding an additional lane on the North Fairfield Bridge over I-675.
To accommodate work, lane closures will be in place Friday, April 11, and Sunday, April 13 from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following day. During the course of construction, two lanes of traffic will be maintained in each direction of I-675.
During the week of April 21, nightly lane closures will be in place on northbound I-675 between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. for the installation of portable concrete barrier.
On April 30, southbound I-675 traffic is scheduled to be placed into a contra-flow pattern with one lane of southbound traffic maintained on the southbound side of I-675, and one southbound lane maintained on the northbound side of I-675.
Barrett Paving Materials was awarded the contract on its bid of $16,267,610.
