Interstate 71 bridge deck replacement project nearly completed

Hamilton County (Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2017) - Construction for the Interstate 71 bridge deck replacement, just north of the Lytle Tunnel, is almost complete. However, there will be short-term lane and ramp closures for finish work required through mid-November. In addition, the truck detour for northbound I-71 is lifted.
This past weekend, traffic lanes were switched into the north and southbound final configuration. The 3rd St. ramp from southbound I-71 and the 2nd St. and 5th St. ramps to northbound I-71 are all open to traffic.
Traffic advisories will be sent when lane and ramp closures are necessary.
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
