Full closure of
southbound I-71 at Dana this weekend
HAMILTON
COUNTY (Thursday,
July 31, 2014) – Active construction to create a new, full movement
interchange at Interstate 71 and Martin Luther King Dr. continues this week
with bridge demolition work.
Work to
dismantle the Conrail bridge located just north of the Martin Luther King Drive
overpass will require a full closure of southbound I-71between the Dana
Avenue and Taft Road exits. This closure will be in place from 10 p.m. Friday,
Aug. 1 through 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 4.
Traffic
will be able to exit southbound I-71 at Dana; traffic on Dana will not be able
to exit to southbound I-71. Traffic will be detoured to westbound SR 562
(Norwood Lateral) to southbound I-75. Traffic may also detour to westbound
I-275 to southbound I-75.
Motorists
attending events in downtown Cincinnati this weekend are advised to plan
accordingly.
