Interstate 71
weekend lane closures scheduled

(Thursday, Sept. 17, 2015) – Construction work on Interstate 71 at the
Mason-Montgomery/Fields Ertel exit will require the following closures this
weekend:
The
right lane of northbound I-71 will be closed from 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18 through
6 a.m. Monday, Sept. 21 to accommodate bridge work. In addition, a
second lane closure will be in place beginning at 11 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, 10
p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19 and 10 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20, reopening to traffic by 6
a.m. the next day. Traffic delays will be significant, and motorists are
advised to watch for slow and stopped traffic.
Arrow
boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming road
and lane closures. To
help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling
public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped
traffic while passing through the work zone.
