I-71 lane and full closures scheduled

Interstate 71 lane and full closure scheduled for sign installation

Hamilton County (Thursday, April 21, 2016) – Sign installation will require the following lane and short-term full closures tonight.

Close the right lane of southbound I-71 between Fields-Ertel Road and I-275 at 8 p.m., followed by a double lane closure at 11 p.m. Also, two to three short-term full closures between 12:01 a.m. and 5 a.m. Friday, April 22 with all lanes reopen to traffic by 6 a.m.

Traffic will be maintained with law enforcement officers. All work is weather dependent and will be pushed forward one day if needed.

Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place prior to the work zone to alert motorists of the upcoming lane and full closure. To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
