Interstate 71 lane closures begin
Warren County (Tuesday, April 8, 2014) – Bridge repair work will begin on Interstate 71 next week.
Work will require closure of the left lane of northbound I-71, beginning two miles north of the Wilmington Road exit, and closure of the left lane of southbound Interstate 71, beginning seven miles south of the State Route 73 exit. These closures will be in place from 9 p.m. Sunday, April 13 through noon Thursday, April 17.
Traffic will be maintained with a lane width restriction of 8 feet, 6 inches. Traffic delays may be significant and motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes. Work is weather-dependent.
Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming lane closures.
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
