Interstate 71/MLK project update

Hamilton County (Friday, Oct. 7, 2016) – Work on the I-71/Martin Luther King full interchange project requires the following restrictions next week.

Sunday, Oct. 9 through Saturday, Oct. 15: Bridge painting requires a single lane closure on eastbound Victory Parkway between Rockdale Ave. and Gilbert Ave. The closure will begin 9 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9 and reopen at 7 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15.

Monday, Oct. 10: Bridge work will require the closure of eastbound Martin Luther King Blvd. Gilbert Ave. and Reading Rd. beginning at 8 p.m. on Oct. 10 until 6 a.m. Oct. 11. The detour will use Reading Rd., Lincoln Ave. and Gilbert Ave.

Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming work zone and lane closures. Please remember that all work is dependent upon weather.

To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
