I-71 and MLK Lane Restrictions next week
 
Hamilton County (Friday, May 13, 2016) – Next week the following restrictions will be in place for work involving the creation of a new, full movement interchange at Interstate 71 and Martin Luther King Drive .
 
Monday, May 16 through Friday May 20: Various lane closures on northbound and southbound I-71 near the MLK overpass between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. Also, short-term full closures may be utilized each night between midnight and 5 a.m.
·         On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday the northbound lane restrictions will occur two hours after the conclusion of the Reds game.
 
Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming work zone and road closure.
 
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by ODOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 11, 2015, and executed by FHWA and ODOT.
