Interstate 71/MLK Project Update
 
Hamilton County (Wednesday, June 22, 2016) – The following restrictions will be in place on Interstate 71 and Martin Luther King Drive as part of the work to create a new, full movement interchange.
 
Monday, June 27: Close eastbound Martin Luther King Drive between Reading Road and Gilbert Avenue from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following day.
 
Tuesday, June 28: Various lane closures on southbound I-71 from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following day. Short-term full closures between midnight and 5 a.m. with traffic maintained by law enforcement officers.
 
Wednesday, June 29: Various lane closures on north and southbound I-71 from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following day. Short-term full closures between midnight and 5 a.m. with traffic maintained by law enforcement officers.
 
Thursday, June 30: Various lane closures on northbound I-71 from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following day. Short-term full closures between midnight and 5 a.m. with traffic maintained by law enforcement officers.
 
Tuesday, July 5: Close eastbound Martin Luther King Drive between Reading Road and Gilbert Avenue from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following day.
 
Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming work zone. All work is dependent upon weather.
 
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by ODOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 11, 2015, and executed by FHWA and ODOT.
