I-71/MLK Project Update

Interstate 71/MLK project update

Hamilton County (Monday, July 25, 2016) – The following restrictions will be in place this weekend as part of the work to create a new, full movement interchange at Interstate 71 and Martin Luther King Drive.

Various lane closures on north and southbound I-71 over Victory Parkway (mile marker 4) from 7 p.m. Friday until 6 a.m. Monday. Traffic will be maintained.

In addition, the ramp from Montgomery Road to southbound I-71 will be closed from 7 p.m. Friday until 6 a.m. Monday. Traffic will be detoured back to Dana Avenue by way of Duck Creek Road.

Also, traffic on north and southbound Reading Road, between Oak Street and Ridgeway Avenue, will be switched from the east side to the west side of the road at approximately 9 p.m. Friday. Traffic will remain in this configuration for approximately 45 days.

Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming work zone, lane and ramp closures. All work is dependent upon weather.

To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
