I-71/MLK construction update

Interstate 71/MLK project update
 
Hamilton County (Thursday, Oct. 1, 2015) – As part of the work to create a new, full movement interchange at Interstate 71 and Martin Luther King Drive, the following restrictions will be in place between William Howard Taft and Victory Parkway:
 
Beginning at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 5, single lane closures on south and northbound I-71 at 7 p.m. with double lane closures at 9 p.m. and all lanes reopening by 6 a.m. the following day. Also, various 15-minute full closures of southbound I-71 between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. the following day.
 
Beginning at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, single lane closures on south and northbound I-71 at 7 p.m. with double lane closures at 9 p.m. and all lanes reopening by 6 a.m. the following day. Also, various 15-minute full closures of south and/or northbound I-71 between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. the following day. Location of full closures will be determined by progress of work completed Monday.
 
Beginning at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, Thursday, Oct. 8 and Friday, Oct. 9, single lane closures on northbound I-71 with double lane closures at 9 p.m. and all lanes reopening by 6 a.m. the following day. Also, various 15-minute full closures of northbound I-71 between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. the following day.
 
Traffic will be maintained during full closures with law enforcement officers.
 
Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming work zone and lane closures.
 
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
