Interstate 71/MLK project update

Hamilton County (Wednesday, April 27, 2016) - As part of the work to create a new, full movement interchange at Interstate 71 and Martin Luther King Drive, the following restrictions will be in place on I-71 from McMillan Street to Dana Avenue this week:

Single lane closure on northbound I-71 beginning at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, Thursday, April 28 and Friday, April 29. This will be followed by a double lane closure at 9 p.m., with all lanes reopen by 6 a.m. the following day. In addition, short-term full closures on northbound I-71 each night from midnight until 5 a.m. the following day.

Traffic will be maintained with local law enforcement officers.

Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming work zone, lane and short-term full closures.

To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
