Interstate 71/MLK closures scheduled for the rest of the week
Hamilton County (Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2016) – The following restrictions will be in place beginning tonight as part of the work to create a new, full movement interchange at Interstate 71 and Martin Luther King Drive.
Southbound I-71 will have various lane closures beginning at 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Short-term full-lane closures on southbound I-71 will take place between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. Northbound I-71 will have one lane closed from 12 midnight to 6 a.m.
On Thursday, Aug. 4, north and southbound I-71 will have various lane closures beginning at 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. (Saturday morning). Short-term full-lane closures on southbound I-71 will take place between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m.
Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming lane closures. All work is dependent upon weather.
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
