Interstate 71/MLK project update
Hamilton County (Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2016) – Work on the I-71/Martin Luther King full interchange project requires the following restrictions next week.
Tuesday, Sept. 6 and Wednesday, Sept. 7: Lane closures on northbound I-71 beginning at 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following day. Also, short-term full closures on north and southbound I-71 from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m.
Thursday, Sept 8: Lane closures on north and southbound I-71 beginning at 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following day. Also, short-term full closures on north and southbound I-71 from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m.
Friday, Sept. 9: Lane closures on southbound I-71 beginning at 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following day. Also, short-term full closures on north and southbound I-71 from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m. In addition, Reading Road will return to two lanes in each direction overnight.
In addition, single lane closures in each direction of Reading Road each day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Traffic will be maintained.
Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming work zone and lane closures. Please remember that all work is dependent upon weather.
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
