Interstate 71/MLK project update
Hamilton County (Monday,
Sept. 18, 2017) - Various lane closures on southbound Interstate 71
between Dana Avenue and McMillan Street. Closures will begin at 7
p.m. Sept. 18, 2017 until 6 a.m. the following morning, Sept. 19, 2017.
There will also be
various lane closures on northbound I-71 between McMillian St. and Dana
Ave. Closures will begin at 7 p.m. Sept. 19, 2017 until 6 a.m. Sept.
23, 2017.
In addition, traffic
will be restricted on Whittier St. but, is being maintained with a
flagging operation beginning at Van Buren Ave. and ending at Fredonia
Ave. Restrictions will begin at 7 a.m. Sept. 19, 2017 and will end at
3 p.m. the same day.
Arrow boards and/or
signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming work zone and
restrictions.
To help ensure the
safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists
should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while
passing through the work zone.
