I-71/Socialville-Fosters Road bridge construction
Warren County (Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016) – The Warren County Engineer’s Office will begin replacement of the two-lane Socialville-Fosters Road bridge over I-71 next week.
To accommodate this work, the left lane of north and southbound I-71 will be closed at 8 p.m. Thursday, March 3 and Friday, March 4. Lane closures will switch to the right lanes of north and southbound I-71 and all lanes will reopen by 6 a.m. the following day.
Law enforcement officers will maintain traffic and all work depends on weather.
In addition, the Warren County Engineer’s office has announced that Socialville-Fosters Road will be closed at I-71 beginning Monday, March 14 for approximately 40 weeks. The detour is Mason-Montgomery Road to Western Row Road to Columbia Road. The bridge will be replaced with a five-lane structure with sidewalk.
Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming lane and road closures.
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
