I-71/Socialville-Fosters Road construction
Warren County (Thursday, March 3, 2016) – The following restrictions will be in place on Interstate 71 next week to accommodate bridge work at the Socialville-Fosters Road bridge over I-71.
Single lane closures in the right lanes of north and southbound I-71 beginning each night at 8 p.m. Monday, March 7 through Friday, March 11, followed by double lane closures in the right and center lanes at 11 p.m. All lanes will reopen by 7 a.m. the following day.
Also during this time, the fence along the existing bridge will be removed.
Work is expected to be complete by Saturday morning but if necessary, the lane closures will remain in place until 9 a.m. Saturday, March 12.
Law enforcement officers will maintain traffic and all work depends on weather.
Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the upcoming lane closures.
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
