Bridge deck overlay work to be performed
Hamilton County (Thursday, Oct. 7, 2010) – Bridge deck overlay work will require the following closures on northbound Interstate 71 at Stewart Road this weekend.
The right lane and the ramp from northbound I-71 to Stewart Road will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8 through 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 11; a signed detour will be posted for the ramp closure. At 11 p.m., the center lane will close, reopening by 5 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 9. With these closures, traffic will be shifted to the left.
The center lane will again be closed to traffic from 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9 to 7 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 10. When the ramp and right lane reopen to traffic at 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 11, the original traffic pattern will be in place.
Arrow boards and signs will be in place prior to the work zone to alert motorists of the upcoming lane and ramp closures.
ODOT has a Target: Zero goal for any and all safety hazards. To help ensure the safety of construction workers and the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through a work zone.
