Lane Closures on Interstate 74 Scheduled Week of April 30
Hamilton County (Friday, April 27, 2012) –  Work to implement a traffic switch will require nightly lane closures on westbound Interstate 74 at State Route 128 next week.
A single lane closure will begin at 6 p.m. followed by a double lane closure at 9 p.m. with all lanes reopened to traffic by 6 a.m. the following day. These closures will be in place Monday, April 30 through Friday, May 4. In addition, the on-ramp from SR 128 to westbound I-74 will be closed to traffic each night.
On Tuesday, May 1, the westbound contra-flow lane will be closed from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for paving operations.
On Thursday, May 3, a single lane closure, beginning at 9 p.m., will be in place on eastbound I-74  to facilitate the relocation of  portable concrete barrier. Law enforcement personnel will be on site each evening to assist in traffic control.
Arrow boards and signs are in place prior to the work zone to alert motorists of the upcoming lane closures.
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
