I-74 lane traffic switch scheduled
Hamilton County (Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011) – Work to implement a traffic switch on Interstate 74 will require the following closures between the interchange with I-275 to the west and the Great Miami River to the east:
Wednesday, Oct. 5: The right lane of eastbound I-74 will close at 7 p.m., followed by a closure of a second lane at 10 p.m. All lanes will reopen to traffic by 5 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 6 with all three lanes of eastbound I-74 switched to newly constructed pavement.
Arrow boards and signs will be in place prior to the work zone to alert motorists of the upcoming lane closures.
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
