I-74/North Bend Road project update
Hamilton County (Monday, May 23, 2016) – Replacement of the North Bend Road bridge over Interstate 74 requires the following lane, ramp and short-term full closures this week:
Various lane closures on east and westbound I-74 at North Bend Road bridge, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly Monday, May 23 through Thursday, May 26.
In addition, close the ramps from westbound I-74 to North Bend Road and from southbound North Bend Road to eastbound I-74 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly Monday, May 23 through Thursday, May 26.
Also, various short-term full closures on east and westbound I-74 between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. Wednesday, May 25 and Thursday, May 26 with traffic maintained by law enforcement officers.
The travelling public should expect delays in the area. A local northbound alternate route has been posted by the Hamilton County Engineer’s Office from North Bend Road to Boomer Road to Race Road to West Fork Road to North Bend Road.
Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place to alert motorists of the work zone and the lane and ramp closures, and the traffic switch. To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
