I-75 Lane Closures April 11

Lane Closures Scheduled for I-75 This Week

Hamilton County (Wednesday, April 11, 2012) –Work on Interstate 75 at the Mitchell Avenue interchange will require a single right lane closure on northbound I-75, beginning at 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 11.

This closure will be followed by a double lane closure on the east side of northbound I-75 beginning at 10 p.m. Once operations are complete, a double lane closure on the west side of northbound I-75 will be in place, with all lanes open to traffic by 6 a.m. Thursday, April 12. These lane closures are to prepare for a traffic shift to the right shoulder and right two lanes of northbound I-75.

In addition, work to remove and replace an ARTIMIS dynamic message sign will require a lane closure on northbound I-75 just south of the Hopple Street exit, beginning at 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, followed by a double lane closure at 10 p.m. A rolling road block will follow at 11 p.m.
All work is weather permitting.

Arrow boards and signs will be in place prior to the work zone to alert motorists of the upcoming lane closure. To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
