Lane Closures Scheduled for I-75
Hamilton County (Friday, March 2, 2012) –Work on Interstate 75 at the Mitchell Avenue interchange will require the following lane closures next week:
Monday, March 5: Right lane closure on northbound I-75, beginning at 7 p.m.
Tuesday, March 6: Right lane closure on northbound I-75, beginning at 7 p.m.
Wednesday, March 7: Double right lane closure on northbound I-75, beginning at 10 p.m., and a
left lane closure on southbound I-75. Work will also require several 15-
minute short-term closures of northbound I-75 north of Mitchell Avenue
Thursday, March 8: Double right lane closure on northbound I-75, beginning at 10 p.m., and a
left lane closure on southbound I-75. Work will also require several 15-
minute short-term closures of northbound I-75 north of Mitchell Avenue.
The northbound closures will begin at I-74 and end just north of Mitchell Avenue. All lanes will reopen to traffic by 6 a.m. the following day.
Work is weather permitting, and if inclement weather cancels work any of these nights, closures will be scheduled Friday, March 9.
Arrow boards and signs will be in place prior to the work zone to alert motorists of the upcoming lane closure.
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
