Lane Closures Scheduled at I-75/Monmouth
HAMILTON COUNTY (Friday, July 8, 2011)
- Nightly lane closures are scheduled next week for both north and southbound Interstate 75 near the Monmouth Street overpass.
One lane of northbound I-75 will be closed beginning at 7 p.m. with a second lane closure to follow at 10 p.m. Monday, July 11 through Friday, July 15, with all lanes to reopen by 5 a.m. the following day. In addition, the Bates Street on-ramp to northbound I-74 will be closed from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. July 11-13. On July 11, the right southbound lane of I-75 at the Monmouth Street bridge will be closed to traffic, as well.
This work is for Phase 2 of the $664 million Interstate 75 Mill Creek Expressway Project, which will improve traffic flow and enhance safety of the I-75 corridor from the Western Hills Viaduct to north of the Paddock Road interchange in Hamilton County.
Arrow boards and signs will be in place prior to the work zone to alert motorists of the upcoming lane closures.
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
