I-75 Traffic Restrictions week of July 15

Central Parkway closure scheduled for bridge removal
Hamilton County (Monday, July 15, 2013)  - Full closures of Central Parkway for the removal of the pedestrian bridge arch are scheduled for Monday, July 15.
A single lane closure will be in place from 7 to 10 p.m., followed by intermittent 30-minute full closures from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.  In addition, the Interstate 74 ramp to Central Parkway will be closed from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Tuesday, July 16.
Additional traffic restrictions scheduled for this week include:
·         The ramp from northbound I-75 to Hopple Street will be closed from 10 p.m. Thursday, July 18 to 5 a.m. Friday, July 19.
·         Flagging operations will be in place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on various side streets to accommodate staging of equipment and delivery of materials.  One-lane closures on Bates Avenue and Central Parkway may be in place between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. through the week, as well.
 
 
In addition, work on southbound I-75 at the Mitchell Avenue interchange will include these traffic restrictions this week:
·         One-lane closure beginning at 9 p.m., followed by two lanes at 11 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, with all lanes open to traffic by 5 a.m. Wednesday, July 17.
·         Lane closures on both directions of Mitchell Avenue from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Tuesday through Friday.
 
Arrow boards and signs are in place prior to the work zone to alert motorists of the upcoming lane closures.
To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
