I-75 construction update week of July 22

HAMILTON COUNTY (Tuesday, July 22, 2014) Upcoming work for the following I-75  Millcreek Expressway improvement projects in Hamilton County will require these closures:

I-75 at Hopple

Double lane closures on northbound I-75 and closure of the ramp from northbound I-75 to Hopple Street, beginning at 10 p.m., Tuesday, July 23 through Friday, July 25, with all lanes open to traffic by 6 a.m. the following day. Friday’s lane closure will begin one hour after completion of Reds’ game.

Work to switch traffic just north of Hopple from temporary concrete pavement to the original traffic configuration on existing northbound I-75 will require a single lane closure on northbound I-75 beginning at 8 p.m., followed by a double lane closure at 10 p.m. on Thursday, July 24. In addition, the ramp from northbound I-75 to Hopple Street will be closed for part of the night, and a rolling closure will be in place on northbound I-75 beginning at midnight. All lanes will reopen to traffic by 6 a.m. the following day.


Closure of Central Parkway between Hopple and Bates Avenue Tuesday, July 22 through Friday, July 25, beginning at 10 p.m., and reopening by 5 a.m. the following day.

 

Various side street flagging operations for material deliveries between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily.

Flagging operation on Marshall Avenue for bridge construction between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily

 

Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place prior to the work zone to alert motorists of the upcoming lane closures. To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.

 

I-75 at SR 562

Also, this week, bridge work on I-75 just south of SR 562 will require the following lane closures:

Tuesday, July 22:  Single lane closure in both directions beginning at 9 p.m., followed by a double lane closure at 11 p.m. with all lanes reopening to traffic by 6 a.m. the following day; The ramps from SR 562 to southbound I-75 and from northbound I-75 to SR 562 will be closed from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Wednesday, July 23: Single lane closure in both directions beginning at 9 p.m., followed by a double lane closure at 11 p.m. with all lanes reopening to traffic by 6 a.m. the following day.

Thursday, July 24 and Friday, July 25: Single lane closure on northbound I-75, followed by a double lane closure at 11 p.m. with all lanes reopening to traffic by 6 a.m. the following day.

Please note: Direction of lane closure and configuration will be dependent on progress from previous night’s work.
